Fall catch-up

It's been a while, and I know that some of you really enjoy checking out my blog. Here is a quick glimpse of some of our fall activities. I will put the bigger events in their own post.

We got to go apple picking with a friend. It was a lot of fun! We had more than enough apples to make apple sauce and eat! Thanks for going Ms. J!

Blue Pony turned 9! She wanted a giraffe cake. Have you ever tried to make a cake look like a giraffe? Well, ours was very interesting. She loved it which is all that matters.
Right after BluePony's birthday, we celebrated Spidey's birthday! He wanted a "spy" birthday. So we set up a "spy mission" for a group of kids to begin our backyard movie night. It was important that they were successful in completing their mission since the movie was the prize at the end of the mission. We had a lot of fun making s'mores and watching "Monsters vs. Aliens" on our homemade screen.

Since we love the outdoors, we had to get in a trip to hike in Shenandoah NP. It is so beautiful in the fall! Finally, here are some pictures from a local farm park that has lots of fun fall activities for the family. This year I took the kids on a field trip through the corn maze. We also got to shoot the corn cannons, ride a pony, see lots of animals, ride the cow train, and ride the hay wagon.
