Atlanta

While we were in Atlanta, we took the time to do a little sight seeing. Stone Mountain has a lot of options that appeal to the family. The favorite of our family was probably the ropes course. It was a little scary. Here is Elefly with her Uncle Big J making sure she gets across.
BluePony is waiting her turn.

CutiePie had to get in on the action with the "kids" rope course.

Took a train ride around the base of the mountain.
We went to the top of the mountain again. This time we rode the tram!

We left Stone Mountain and had a day to venture to downtown Atlanta. Our family toured Coca-Cola World. You get to see lots of memorabilia, the beginnings of Coke, and taste the different Coca-Cola products from every continent. Lots of caffeine and sugar! They give you a bottle of Coke as a souvenir.
This is a couch from American Idol on display at Coca-Cola World.

The kids had their picture taken with the Coca-Cola bear. He was very cool. His head bobbled, eyes opened and closed, and looked very cuddly in person!

Olympic Centennial Park was our next stop.

And, of course we had to visit the AG store!

We had a little extra time, so we went wading in the Chattahoochee River. It was soooo cold! I would believe it could be that cold in January, but not August. I don't even know if the video does it justice.

We were also blessed to meet up with Ghost's old roommate for dinner and some play time at a park. I wish we lived closer to them so we could get to know each other better.

What a fabulous way to end our summer!
