Sunshine

Elefly asked Ghost and I if she could please get a new pet. This was followed by a discussion about what kind of pet, and who would care for it, etc. All the kids agreed that they would be able to handle the care of a new family member. So, we agreed and went to the pet store. CutiePie marched straight to the animals at the pet store, dragging me behind her. They all and helped picked out our new pet, Sunshine. Our dog is still not quite sure what to think of this new critter and would like to play with, or taste her. Even with all the excitement of a hamster, a few days later, we had to say goodbye to our fish. It was five-year old goldfish which we thought would last about two weeks when we first got it. BluePony was very sad. She was usually the one to take care of it, and probably the most sensitive of all four kids. She cheered up a little when we talked about getting a new fish sometime soon. I'll keep you posted!

  1. You are such good parents! Our poor boys catch inch worms and crickets, put them in buckets and jars, give them names and call them their pets! I did give Car-man an ant farm. . .but haven't ordered the ants yet. I keep thinking, once Sweet Pea is a little older, maybe I could handle a pet in the house. . .excuses, excuses. . .
