Consulate Appointment

We went to the US Consulate today to apply for Luke's Visa. His passport arrived at around midnight. (Thank you, Lord!). We took an oath on his behalf and one of us was fingerprinted. Easy appointment. We were done pretty quickly. Now we are finished with paperwork for this side of the adoption!

The rest of our day was spent relaxing and more bonding. Luke's favorite word today was "No!" ...in English!  But, he also wanted some extra hugs and reassurance today. I was happy to oblige.   Luke and I had fun snuggling, coloring, and reading books together this afternoon...even though this took place because someone was refusing to nap.

While I was playing with Luke, Tim ventured out via subway to explore some popular areas. He seemed to enjoy it and said the subway was clean, air conditioned, and he did not get smashed like sardines. (My first question)

Tomorrow we will get Luke's passport with his visa in the afternoon, check out of or hotel, entertain ourselves for about four hours and then head to the airport to begin our journey home. I cannot wait to be back in the USA!
