Tonight I got the privilege of attending International Night at my daughters school. Each student has worked extremely hard researching and compiling a report on a country of their choice. Some students had a poster board with facts, a few did an actual report, and some created books. These were surrounded by many items from each country. Among each exhibit was a sampling of authentic food found in the area. Some students even wore traditional attire.
To start the night the third graders performed a series of songs from around the world. They worked hard to learn many of the songs in different languages. When the concert was done, we had the chance to explore each display. Here is Elefly's display on Germany. We made German Butter Christmas Cookies to share. They were a big hit.
Most importantly, she made an ABC book about Germany. Here's a few sample pages.
